What are the cut-offs for time of arrival and time for departure off the premises?
Thursday : Noon - Midnight

Is this Event All Ages?
This event is 18+ - No patrons under 18 years of age will be allowed to enter the property.

Fee to leave the property?
No fee to leave the property - GA Car Camping are able to exit the grounds, Day Parking can do the same but we can not promise that your spot is available when you return. *RV Campers may not leave the grounds once parked*

Will there be camping?
Yes! We are pleased to say there will be ample camping space in a variety of settings around the festival grounds. Stay tuned for more information.

What do I need in order to camp at Balance?
Everybody who is looking to camp must buy a camping pass, if you are looking to camp next to your vehicle we have Car Camping Passes available!

Do I need to purchase a camping pass in order to attend Balance?
You do not need a car camping or GA camping pass in order to attend Balance. This is an add-on to the standard GA Ticket!

Can I reserve a spot next to friends attending the festival?
All camping is on a first come first served basis. You and your friends must arrive together to guarantee camping spots with your crew!

How large is the slot for car camping?
15x30 slot for 1 car + tents. All members of your party must fit inside the given space and not into the space of the slot next to yours.

How large is the slot for RV camping?
RV Camping 20' x 40' slot for 1 RV + Tents.

Does each person in our party need a car camping pass or is that only for the driver?
For Car Camping, your group must have 1 Car Camping Pass per vehicle.

What tickets do I need to start the festival on Thursday?
Our Pre-Party is accessible with a Pre-Party Ticket, if you are looking to stay on site the rest of the weekend you will need a Single Day Pass or 2 Day GA Pass. All attendees will be checked for wristbands coming to and from the festival grounds from the camping areas.

Either Friday GA or 2 Day GA Passes + Car Camping Pass!

Saturday GA Passes + Car Camping Pass

What tickets do I need if I want to attend but do not want to camp?
Friday, Saturday or 2 Day Passes!

What is prohibited in the campgrounds?
NO Weapons/firearms (including but not limited to guns, knives, pocketknives, laser pens, brass knuckles, wallet chains, spikes or weapons of any kind including concealed permits)
NO fireworks, flying prayer lanterns, or explosives
NO Illegal substances
NO Charcoal Grills Allowed
NO generators
(RV’s with generators are permitted, Solar generators + Whisper Quiet Generators are exempt)
NO Large sound systems
(If neighbors ask to turn it down please respect their wishes)
NO glass (mirrors are NOT allowed)
NO kegs
NO drones
NO compressed air tanks (Nitrous, Helium Etc.)
SOUND SYSTEM POLICY
No speakers larger than 11x5x5, or externally amplified sound. Balance Music Festival reserves the right to confiscate or remove sound systems that do not follow guidelines. Small handheld Bluetooth speakers and USB powered / personal speakers will be allowed.

Are Roaming Vendor Passes Available?
We do have Roaming Vendor Passes as an add on, you must have either a Single Day or 2 Day GA ticket in order to be on the grounds as a roaming vendor.

If I do not want to camp in a tent, what are my other options for lodging?
AirBNB's, Hotels, or a friends house is going to be the best bet!

Are there shuttles?
There will be a shuttle running from the Eastern Day Parking Lot along with Golf Cart rides to and from the southern lot!

Can I add additional items once I have already purchased?
Absolutely ~ we have a variety of Add-Ons if you feel you would like to camp, grab a Pre-Party Pass, or RV Pass while supplies last!

Do you mail out wristbands prior to the event?
No - you will receive your wristbands at the box office. It is very important to stop at the box office upon arrival to the event. You will need to either make sure your PDF Ticket is printed, or have your electronic ticket ready on your phone.
Make sure your tickets are pulled up on your phone and the QR code is ready to scan before you reach the box office window to speed up the process for all guests. If your ticket does not scan you will not be granted access.

ADA + Accessible Parking
Both the Camping and Non-Camping Parking Areas have accessible parking spots available. To park in these designated areas, you must have a valid handicap placard, permit, or license plate issued by the state.
All ADA Patrons are required to fill out our ADA Form BEFORE THE EVENT
Please note that the person to whom the handicap credential is issued must be present in the vehicle, either as a driver or passenger. When you arrive at either the Camping or Non-Camping Parking area, please inform our parking team so that they can assist you.

Do you accept cash/card?
We accept both Cash and Card at Balance Music Festival!

Is there a lost and found?
If you feel that you have lost an item, please refer to our guest services tent to report anything that you feel may have been lost with your contact information. Please note that the Balance Festival is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

Where is the guest services tent?
We will have one Guest Services tent at each stage, feel free to stop by and ask any questions or raise any concerns!

What if there is an emergency?
The Balance Festival is staffed with several volunteers and has coordinated efforts with the local areas emergency and medical services. If you believe there is an emergency or you feel unsafe, please stop one of our volunteers or visit our guest services tent to report.

When do I need to leave?
If you only have a Single Day Pass, you will be required to exit the grounds by Noon the following day - if you are caught on the grounds without a pass for the specific day you will be asked to leave the grounds.
All 2 Day patrons are welcome to stay on site Sunday until 4PM! We encourage everyone to sleep in and rest before leaving the grounds.

This event is not cashless! Cash is accepted and preferred by most vendors and artists.

Lost and Found
Lost and Found will be located at the General Store - once the grounds close you can find Lost and Found Items at the box office during open hours. All Lost and Found Items will be posted online on our website after the event!

Will the campgrounds be open 24 hours?
Once you have your camping & admission wristbands you will be able to re-enter at anytime. You will be subject to search upon re-entering the campgrounds.

Where is this music festival being held?
Nestled in between The Lost Island Waterpark & Themepark, The Isle Casino, The KOA Campground and The South Hills Golf Course in Waterloo, Iowa. August 22-25th it will be home to great music, wonderful art installations, live painters, amazing vendors and all of you wonderful people!
